I worked in the basement of the library with my brother back in 1982-85. We had a supervisor named Shirley. She was a great boss. Sitting in her office smoking away and letting us kids run up and down those isles looking for books etc. to put into the little book elevator. The air deliver system was awesome too. She got me into aquarium fish keeping. She had a little bowl with some comet goldfishes in them. It was the first job that I had and remember taking the math test for the job. I got $2.25 per hour then and it was awesome to get that check for $12 dollars. Would then go to the Galleria Mall to buy candy and play video games at Dream Machine.Miss those times with my brother.
